Classic Ribbed Beanie
Happy New Year, and welcome to 2020! I hope that this upcoming year is full of many blessings and adventures. I thought that this would be a great time to introduce my Classic Ribbed Beanie and offer up the pattern for FREE. It is super easy, looks amazing and is a constant go-to beanie pattern for a timeless look.
Size I/5.5mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge
Worsted weight (#4) yarn *I used Bernat Super Saver*

Gauge:
16 HDC and 8 rows = 4x4 inches
Abbreviations:
CH - chain HDC - half double crochet BLO - back loop only
SL St - slip stitch Sts - stitches
Size - Hat Circumference:
Preemie - 10.5”
Infant - 12”
Toddler (1-3 years) - 16.5”
Child (3-10 years) - 18”
Youth - 19.5”
Adult - 21.5”
Notes:
*pattern is worked flat in one piece and sewed up the side with slip stitches.
*pattern is worked in the following size format: preemie (infant, toddler, child, youth, adult).
Row 1: CH 19 (25, 29, 31, 35, 39), HDC in 2nd CH from hook and across. [18 (24, 28, 30, 34, 38) sts]
